There are miles and miles of excellent beaches all the way west from the Camargue, The two main beaches are (a) between Marseillan Plage and Sete and (b) between Carnon East and Grande Motte. Much nearer, one can have a nice swim in the Herault river at the Pont du Diable (10mn drive)
